Life:Michael Jackson Exhibition

OK, I know, I can't help but post MJ stuff, he is my favourite artist of all time. Today I went with my sister to the The 02 bubble to see the Michael Jackson exhibition as it was closing today and going to Japan. I couldn't take any pictures as it was strictly forbidden(boooooo) so all i can show is my ticket from my memory board. I loved it, it was very surreal because why would i need to see an exhibition of him when i had tickets to see him this month :-(. It feels like it's the end of an era, will there be a tribute concert?, is their anything mj related to come out of the wood works....... i doubt it?. I'm not a crazy fan or somebody that would sell my car to see him, but he has been in my life musically for almost 25 years, how do you let go of that? .

I also bought "This is It" DVD on Friday and that really felt like, "this is it", the last piece of his legacy to share to the world :-(.

The exhibition had costumes dating back to the early seventies, pictures, awards, messages, posters, props from videos, the outfits he would of worn for his 50 sold old concerts, in my home town, STUNNING! by they way. But the most amazing thing of it all, was the diverse people in there, i mean that's nothing new, Micheal was known for his diverse following, but to see young, old, white, black and everything in between, it touches my heart, the message book had me chocking a bit too, little kids writing " mj I'm 5 years old" wow . When I was about to leave, I couldn't help but reflex and ask myself, "why do i love this man so much, why did his untimely death effect me this hard? and then I realised he made me happy through his dance, smile, music videos, performances, concerts, songs and magic. Michael wasn't in the best shape of his career, but to dedicate himself to his art all for the sake of his fans is crazy because, as humans we can be incredibly selfish. I believe he would of done the full 50 shows, not because he could do it, but when thoes lights turn off, the fans scream, the intro music starts and then the spotlights hit him, i think Micheal would of just turned it on and braved through his physical and emotional pain, like a true professional, but at what cost?......we now know the answer to that question.R.I.P Mike!

I Love Music:Cheryl Cole - Parachute

I love love love this video, it's so stunning, from the lighting, to the dancing, the back drop, the concept and Cheryl herself,it's great. For any international readers who may not know her, she's basically like as you may say an "American sweetheart", she's our "British sweetheart", but don't get it twisted she's a fiesty chick but with sweet appeal. She's also one fifth of the biggest girl band in blighty, Girls Aloud, an X Factor judge and now she's going solo. This is her third video and she keeps getting better. I'm obsessed with the styling of the video, I may need to imitate some of her outfits, may favourite scene in the video is when she's lying on the bed with that one leg white catsuit(stunning), i think I've watched it like 5 times already back to back! (yikes) I like the song too. Enjoy!

Life:MJ 4EVER

Yes my beloved MJ, love him, hate him or debate about him, he was an innovator, a creator, a master of the arts, a visionary, a student of music, an electrifying entertainer, humanitarian, a lost soul, he was one of a kind. Sadly this was the night my friends and I were going to see him at the 02 Arena, London, but I guess it wasn't meant to be :-(. I'll keep this brief for now, until I write my inspiration feature. Playing my favourite song in the world by him "Human Nature", although he didn't write it, his feathery enchanted vocals takes me to another place when i play it, this song sums up my mood tonight!

Above is my ticket for the show, sorry about the poor quality.

Life:Dogs are a wo"man"s best friend

Just received some amazing news two days ago via email, that our family puppy is due at the end of March!. I couldn't even speak when I read this news because they have been a few problems with getting this breed in the past, because they are so rare and you have to be on a waiting list like forever, God was on our side for this miracle. OK, yes I know I'm jumping the gun a little bit, the puppy isn't even born yet, but it's a joy to hear such amazing news for once, instead of depressing news you hear everyday on the box or read in the newspapers. Besides I needed a little spring in my step as 2010 hasn't exactly been lighting up my fire with anything spectacular....yet. 2009 was toooo pathetic, don't get me wrong, I am (sometimes) grateful for what I have and whatnot, but seriously what the hell did i do that year!. Back to the point, the breed is called A Coton De Tulear (Cot-on dee to-lee-air), a Madagascan breed, it's sweet, loyal, watchful, strong, happy, friendly and will steal your heart and I recommend this breed to anyone, but WARNING! they cost an arm and a leg, but they are worth it. I'll keep you updated and hope everything goes well!
Note: Not my dog in the picture above, stolen from flickr ha! sorry!

Life:Introduction to me and my blog

In life it seems that we are always waiting for something to happen in our personal or professional life. If it's not finding the love of your life(still waiting), a new job (still waiting), crappy London trains(always waiting), an online purchase that you pray looks like the picture( I've had some dodgy items through my door, thanks EbaY!) or just wishing all your dreams will come true already!!! (still wearing that t-shirt). Basically I've decided not to wait for things to come to me, but rather go out and get it myself. I've been struggling personally and professional in my life for at least 5 years now and it's got to a point were I'm going around in circles and I'm constantly beating myself up because things are just not going my way. I guess this is why I've decided to blog (again) but really go for it!. I have so much i want to share with people and express, but it's so hard when you have a degree in Journalism and still feel unfulfilled :-(. Hopefully doing this blog, i will get lucky and discover my talent.

Unfortunately i suffer from a mild case of acute obsessive behaviour disorder, being a Taurus that's inevitable (sorry future husband and kids) 1. Food, yes I love my food, my mum always reminds me of glutton ways (like she doesn't love food) 2. Music, where would I be without my music, i love love love music, it's actually like a drug to me(I always need my daily fix). I actually get terribly annoyed when I've missed out on a great tune the first time round and then really excited that I've re discovered it! and all of the sudden that song is on rotation for at least a month! (not good) 4. shooooooooeeeeessss, like omg, i soooo turn into a Californian valley girl with a rich daddy when i see shoes i love( minus the rich daddy and the fact I'm from sunny south London). It's funny to me because i was such a tomboy for many years, even though deep down inside I still am and it's not like I prance around in heels on a daily basis, as i do have the grace of a gorilla, but I'm proud to announce this born again lady boy is weaning of the trainers, more on that soon! 5. Dance/Theatre/The arts, I love to dance, I've always wanted to be a professional dancer, sadly i never nurtured it, but i did do talents shows in high school. The theatre, my dad took my sister and I to watch Starlight Express when i was about 8 years old and I've been hooked ever since.6.Travel/culture, I love to travel, wish i had the means to travel three times a year, I'm an earth sign so sun, sea and sand suits me right down to the ground!7. Lastly, nostalgia, I love watching old movies, collecting old things like polaroid cameras, vinyls, vintage clothes and listening to songs from the past, it makes me feel so warm inside and happy. OK....I really don't have a clue about what I will post, it's gonna be pretty random but hopefully enjoyable! Jazz xox
